2008 San Francisco International Children's Games

City of Kitchener Team Announced

On December 12, the City of Kitchener received an invitation from Mayor Gavin Newsom of San Francisco to send a full team of 20 members to the Games July 10 to 15. The San Francisco ICG committee is expecting more than 1200 athletes and coaches from 50 cities around the world to participate.

Over a very busy weekend in early December, the four volunteers of the Kitchener ICG Chapter Selection Committee interviewed more than 30 athletes, and reviewed their applications and essays.

The Chair of the Selection Committee, Kevin Harrington, and Kitchener Mayor Carl Zehr are pleased to announce the members of the City of Kitchener Delegation to the San Francisco 2008 Games.
